The location was amazing, surrounded by the beautiful rainforest and just a short distance from the beach. Our room was clean and simple, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The landscaped grounds added to the charm of the lodge. We also appreciated the central computer facility, as it was the only way to stay connected in the isolated area. The restaurant served delicious food and the staff were helpful. we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this lodge to others.

The conference setup and layout of resort
My booking on line was for 2 rooms for 1 night. The booking received at the hotel was for 1 room for 2 nights.

The Hotel has a very nice pool area and is situated within a tropical garden.
The hotel is overpriced. Rooms are very basic and not to the standard you would expect at this price. The electrical equipment in the kitchen was in a miserable state. one should expect that the manager recognize and fix such things.

My family stayed here for a week and it was fabulous. Best location, right next to town but feels like a million miles away in the rainforest. We loved our garden loft room, the restaurant was excellent, and the beach was like a postcard. The 4WD tour with Kane was a highlight of our trip. Tranquil, beautiful resort with a tropical oasis pool. The food was delicious, and the staff provided exceptional service. Will definitely be back!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Friendly staff were willing to overcome the problems we first encountered.
Road in, grouting in bathroom dirty and damaged, floors dirty. Walls stained and wet. Food overprised, muddy path outside dangerous and tracking inside. General air of decay and grubbyness.

In a lovely natural area. Waking up to the sounds of the rainforest. You must remember that you are in the natural rainforest and things aren't as clean and prestine as if you were in a town. You have to expect things falling on your head or on our plate or entering your room.

Liked the location in the middle of the Daintree, and its laid back style of accommodation
It needs a bit of a refurbish - linen and general room area smelt a bit stale and musty.

One of the highlights was the close proximity to the Ocean Safari tours for turtle spotting. It was such a convenient and lovely experience!

Tired room with dated and worn furnishings. Boardwalk to rooms was being repaired and had tools all over it.

It was a perfect location. We hiked to Mt Sorrow lookout and did a night walk in the rainforest and walked on the beach at Cape Tribulation. The surroundings were beautiful.
Limited cocktails available.

Best thing about the hotel is its beautiful gardens and its proximity to Cape Trib.
I can't decide if it's a backpackers or a hotel. We thought we were booking into a hotel but the two person cabins ($98 AU pr) were not clean, very basic and there was no housekeeping service provided. However, other guests who had booked into the resort's 'jungle tents' and found themselves upgraded to a 4 person cabin thought their $20 AU pp was a bargain. The hotel provides a rudimentary communal kitchen and will hire crockery/cutlery sets for a $10 AU deposit - unfortunately I was half way to Cairns before I realised the receptionist had 'omitted' to give me the refund.

Friendly staff & immaculately clean room which was beautifully cold in such humidity. We had a fantastic stay. Thankyou. One of the best parts of our 4 week holiday.
The unclean wooden tables for breakfast with ants and bird-poo on them - maybe invest in some paper coverings.
